St Albans based business, tommy and Lottie produces unisex, ethical and sustainable, capsule, baby, children and adult clothing range and wall prints.
The founder Katie Carr hand draws the designs which are inspired by nature and nostalgia as she is passionate about the environment and wildlife. Print processes such as screen printing or embroidery are used as these are better for the planet and produce a better quality finish and will last longer. They are also plastic free as well as the packaging. The clothing designs and cut are unisex and non-seasonal making it easier to hand down, as reuse, recycle is the brands ethos. Helping towards reducing the impact fast fashion has had on the global textile waste problem.
Cute, unisex, animal design baby clothing sets which include a super soft, oeko tex cotton tee and little harem leggings ideal to give as a gift for a new baby, birthday, baby shower or christening. The sets are very good quality, wash well, are plastic free and are suitable for a boy or girl making it easier to be handed down after use.
Tommy & Lottie have a new range of wildlife animal design, twinning, organic cotton, vegan, cruelty free (PETA certified) sweatshirts available from age 3 years up to adult so perfect for parents who like to have a matching top with their little one.
T&L have partnered with the Sumatran Orangutan Society and launched a ‘fluffly hair’ baby orangutan design sweatshirt where money is donated to the charity from the sales of the sweatshirt, helping to help protect orangutans and their forests in Sumatra. Orangutans are sadly now critically endangered mainly due to the deforestation of their habitat from the demand of unsustainable palm oil.
Making a difference to the world is really important to Katie no matter how small, this includes who and how it’s made, how well they are treated and paid, what impact the manufacturing the product and it’s materials has on the environment and ways to give back and help wildlife which are crucial for a healthy eco system and human survival.
